Fede Ring (Mediaeval love or marriage ring). Silver-gilt ring, 14th-15th centuries. Fede rings received their name from the two clasped hands, signifying betrothal. The inscriptions on the ring are unclear; one side appears to read:MARIAThe other may read: XIESU.Found near Boyndie.
