German made helmet from the sixteenth century.

This German made close-helmet is broad and rather flat when seen from the back, as is the case of all helmets from this period; early sixteenth century. Similar head pieces were made by Konrad Seusenhofer, of Innsbruck, master armourer of Maximilian, who made a suit of armour for Henry VIII.
